Intermediate Level Workshop
In this 3 hour hands-on workshop you will learn the intricacies of making a well- structured loaf of sourdough bread, with beautiful crust and open crumb. By learning the techniques used by artisan bakers, you’ll get peak performance from your starter and will learn how to prepare it for traditional rustic loaves, sourdough pizza, sourdough bagels and much more.
I will bring two staggered doughs for each student. One dough you will shape and proof and we will bake it at the end of the class. You will take that hot and fresh loaf home with you. The second dough you will take home for further shaping, proofing and baking the next day. You will learn how to bake sourdough bread at home using Dutch oven, cast iron or ceramic dish. Baking delicious and nutritious bread couldn’t be any easier way that this. We will have fun!
This is a small class with limited enrollment to ensure that I am able to work closely with each of you.
